Once a year the club held an annual DF 'Foxhunt', and this was usually a lot of fun. The 8th annual event took place on Monday 23rd of July 2001, and this time several teams from our friends at 'RADARS' (Rochdale & District ARS) joined us. The previous year's winner, club chairman Jeff G7BRJ was the 'fox' this time, and the contest was won by a team from RADARS consisting of Dave G3RIK, Andrew G3DTP, and SWL Martin. Runners Up were a team consisting of David G8TKD, xyl Doreen, and Jamie 2E1HPN. You can see pictures of both teams below.

The team consisting of Chris G0WTB, Carolyn G7WFF, and Dennis G0UAF, failed to finish again, and kept up a proud tradition of never yet managing to find the fox in any of the previous events. Showing that they aren't short on humour Chris decided to create their own certificate for perseverence, as he thought it might be the only one they ever get!:-) It was generally agreed that their "Lost but not least" certificate was a work of art, and you can see this in the picture gallery below. Don't give up trying guys!
