The club again operated the special event station GB0ESM on Sunday 6th of May 2007. The skip on 40 Metres was long once again, so not too many G stations audible, and 20 Metres end to end with contest stations splattering all over the place as per usual, but apart from that it was a good day, and we worked a lot of nice people, many of whom had nice stories to tell about their own local steam museums, or steam interests. The quality was certainly very good if not the quantity!One new feature for us this year was the "mobile shack", which was a caravan belonging to one of our members, which was placed on the car park outside the museum, and used to demonstrate Short Wave Listening and Scanning. One other nice feature was a visit from John Brewer of "Brutec", who brought along his multi-satellite receiving equipment and gave visitors (and members) a very interesting demonstration of how to receive numerous European TV satellites. We all want one of those for Christmas this year after seeing that!
