The club is very pleased to announce that George Stead, G0GSQ, possible the oldest active Amateur in the Rochdale area has now become the club's very first lifetime honorary member. Clifford, G0HXQ presented George with a certificate to mark the event recently, and you can see this below. George can often be found on the RNARS Net on 40 Metres, or operating on 2 Metres and 70 Cms, so if you hear him on give him a shout and say hello. Congratulations to George from all his many friends at the club:

We are very sorry to announce that George sadly passed away in February 2007, at the grand old age of 89. The club sends its condolences to George's family, and he will be greatly missed by all of his many friends, both in and out of the hobby.
